This field learning experience explores the unique cultural and natural heritage of the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Ligurian coast. This field learning experience introduces students to the rich historical, artistic, and cultural heritage of Rome, the Eternal City. Through visits to its iconic landmarks, including the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel, Trevi's Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona, students will explore the legacy of Ancient Rome, the influence of the Catholic Church, and the city’s enduring significance in art, history, and culture.

Chianti Olive Oil

Olive oil production in Tuscany dates back to ancient times and remains a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet. A visit to a traditional olive mill offers students the opportunity to learn about the production process and the culture of Tuscan olive oil, while a guided tasting introduces the different olive oil varieties and teaches how to distinguish high-quality extra virgin olive oil from industrial products.

Lucca

This field learning experience explores the development of the Renaissance in Tuscany through a visit to a historic villa and a guided tour of Lucca’s city center.
